Reconstruction of Shtipska Street, Tetovo
EACOM contributed road construction personnel, machinery and site-execution capacity to the reconstruction of Shtipska Street in Tetovo, working as subcontractor and execution partner to GRANIT A.D.
Context and purpose.
The reconstruction of Shtipska Street formed part of the World Bank-supported Local Roads Connectivity Project and addressed the condition and functionality of an important urban road connection in Tetovo.
Working under GRANIT A.D. as main contractor, EACOM delivered its agreed subcontracted package through the deployment of road construction personnel, machinery and field-coordination resources.
The works focused on pavement preparation and rehabilitation, roadway preparation for asphalt installation, asphalt placement and compaction, associated finishing works and the coordination of materials, equipment and site personnel.
The project was completed in 2026, contributing to safer movement, improved driving conditions and more durable local road infrastructure.

Delivery methodology.
EACOM coordinated its workforce, construction machinery, materials and site activities within the overall programme managed by GRANIT A.D.
Execution was organized in coordination with the main contractor and project supervision, with emphasis on work sequencing, pavement preparation, asphalt installation, compaction quality, safe site operations and the timely completion of the agreed subcontracted works.
Outcomes and contribution.
The completed reconstruction improved the functionality and serviceability of Shtipska Street and provided better conditions for residents, businesses and road users in Tetovo.
The intervention contributed to improved road safety, better ride quality, increased accessibility and the longer-term performance of the rehabilitated roadway.
Institutional and contractual structure.
The project was delivered within a multi-stakeholder institutional and contractual structure involving GRANIT A.D., the Ministry of Transport, the Municipality of Tetovo, project supervision and the relevant implementation partners.
