Context and purpose.
The Indoor Swimming Pool in Tetovo was developed as part of the national programme for the construction of 14 public swimming pools across North Macedonia.
Located near the Sports Center in Tetovo, the project involved the construction and completion of a 670 m² indoor sports facility intended for swimming, training, educational and recreational use.
The published investment value of the project was 43,000,000 MKD. Construction activities commenced in 2020, with the completed facility entering the EACOM reference portfolio in 2022.
EACOM, operating at the time under its former legal name EUROVIA, contributed the construction execution, coordination and completion activities required for delivery of the facility.
Construction scope and deliverables.
Delivery methodology.
Delivery of the indoor swimming pool required coordinated execution across the building structure, pool construction, wet-area works, internal finishes, circulation areas and supporting technical spaces.
EACOM coordinated site activities, construction personnel, materials and the sequence of works required to complete the building and prepare it for inspection and handover.
Execution priorities included the interfaces between structural construction, pool detailing, waterproofing-related works, internal finishes and the operational requirements of an indoor aquatic facility.
Institutional construction delivery.
Indoor swimming facilities require a higher level of coordination than conventional public buildings because structural, architectural and technical components operate within a permanently moisture-sensitive environment.
Construction quality depends on the correct coordination of the pool structure, wet-area detailing, finishing interfaces, internal circulation, durable materials and long-term operational requirements.
The Tetovo Indoor Swimming Pool strengthens EACOM’s reference portfolio in public sports infrastructure and specialized indoor aquatic facilities.
Outcomes and contribution.
The completed project delivered 670 m² of dedicated indoor sports infrastructure in Tetovo.
The facility forms part of the city’s public sports infrastructure and provides an enclosed environment for swimming, training and recreational activities throughout the year.
