Alim Begova House – Restoration and Technical Installations

Project Stats

OUR APPROACH

Alim Begova House – Conservation, Restoration and Technical Installations is a completed heritage restoration and adaptive reuse project located on 29 November Street in Tetovo.

The building is an important example of traditional residential architecture, with an asymmetrical structure consisting of a ground floor and two upper floors. Its architectural character includes a typical baroque-style entrance with curved stairs, a reception hall, a large loggia and distinctive interior spatial organization.

The project formed part of the basic project for the conservation, restoration, rehabilitation and structural strengthening of Alim Begova House, also associated with the Memorial House of Mehmet Pasha Derala and the Mental Health Center at the Clinical Center in Tetovo.

EACOM’s role focused on technical installation works within the restoration framework, including the phase for plumbing installations and the second part of the electrical installation phase.

For EACOM, this project represents a specialized heritage restoration reference where technical works had to be delivered within the context of an existing historically significant building and its planned institutional reuse.

Scope of Works

EACOM’s scope included technical installation works within the conservation and restoration project, including:

  • Plumbing installation works
  • Electrical installation works — second phase
  • Technical works within an existing heritage building
  • Coordination with conservation and restoration requirements
  • Works supporting rehabilitation and adaptive reuse
  • Careful execution within historically sensitive building conditions
  • Preparation of completed installation works for subsequent project phases

Technical Relevance

Technical installation works in heritage buildings require a more controlled execution approach than standard building installations.

The key challenge is to integrate plumbing and electrical systems into an existing structure without compromising its historical, architectural or cultural value. This requires careful routing, controlled intervention, coordination with conservation requirements and respect for existing materials and spatial organization.

The Alim Begova House project demonstrates EACOM’s ability to execute technical works within heritage-sensitive buildings where installation requirements must be balanced with preservation and adaptive reuse objectives.

Execution Approach

EACOM’s execution approach focused on careful technical intervention within an existing heritage structure.

The works required coordination with the broader conservation, restoration, rehabilitation and strengthening project, ensuring that plumbing and electrical installation phases supported the future functional use of the building while respecting its historical character.

Project Impact

The completed works contributed to the broader restoration and adaptive reuse of Alim Begova House in Tetovo.

By delivering plumbing and electrical installation works within the conservation framework, EACOM supported the rehabilitation of a historically significant building and its planned use as part of institutional healthcare-related infrastructure.
