Boris Trajkovski Sports Hall – OSCE Ministerial Conference Adaptation

Project Stats

Project Purpose

Boris Trajkovski Sports Hall – OSCE Ministerial Conference Adaptation was a public institutional adaptation project carried out for the preparation of the venue for the 30th OSCE Ministerial Council Conference in Skopje.

The conference represented one of the most significant international diplomatic events hosted in North Macedonia, with foreign ministers and representatives from 57 OSCE participating states attending.

EACOM’s role included the interior and exterior adaptation of the sports hall to meet the functional, technical and presentation requirements of a high-level international event. The project required a compressed execution timeframe, close coordination with public institutions and readiness for official use by international delegations, media, security teams and event operators.

For EACOM, this project represents a strong reference in institutional building adaptation, demonstrating the company’s ability to execute complex, time-sensitive works under high public visibility and strict operational requirements.

Scope of Works

EACOM’s scope included the integrated interior and exterior adaptation of the venue for international event use, including:

  • Interior adaptation works
  • Exterior decoration and venue presentation works
  • Architectural and finishing works
  • Functional adaptation of event areas
  • Access and circulation adaptation
  • MEP-related coordination and technical works
  • Electrical and lighting-related works
  • HVAC and ventilation-related coordination
  • Fire safety and accessibility-related elements
  • Supporting operational spaces for event use
  • Exterior/site preparation works
  • Final preparation, inspection and handover for official event use

Technical Relevance

International event venue adaptation projects require execution discipline, speed, technical coordination and strong operational readiness.

Unlike standard building projects, this type of work must prepare an existing facility for temporary but highly demanding institutional use. Key priorities include access control, circulation, delegate movement, media and operational zones, event presentation, technical reliability, safety, accessibility and readiness within a fixed deadline.

The successful delivery of the Boris Trajkovski Sports Hall adaptation demonstrates EACOM’s ability to mobilize quickly, coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver under the pressure of a nationally significant international event.

Execution Approach

The project required rapid mobilization, coordinated site execution and continuous alignment with institutional stakeholders responsible for the OSCE Ministerial Council Conference.

EACOM’s execution approach focused on adapting the existing sports hall into a functional event venue while maintaining quality, safety, presentation standards and operational readiness within a compressed timeframe.

Project Impact

The completed adaptation enabled “Boris Trajkovski” Sports Hall to serve as a functional venue for the 30th OSCE Ministerial Council Conference in Skopje.

By delivering the required interior and exterior adaptation works, EACOM contributed to the successful preparation of a major international event hosted by North Macedonia and strengthened its portfolio of public institutional and high-visibility venue adaptation projects.
