Forensic Medicine and Criminology Laboratory – Skopje is a completed specialized institutional facility developed for the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Criminology, Skopje and financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
EUROVIA / EACOM participated in the project as a subcontractor to 4 A-M DOO Tirana, the authorized main contractor for the project.
The facility was designed to accommodate specialized spaces including laboratories, evidence storage, examination rooms, classrooms and administrative offices. These functions required a construction approach focused on technical coordination, controlled internal organization, safety, durability and long-term institutional usability.
For EACOM, this project represents a high-value specialized laboratory reference, demonstrating the company’s ability to participate in technically demanding institutional facilities financed under international development standards.
Scope of Works
EACOM’s subcontracted role supported the construction delivery of the specialized laboratory facility, including:

Technical Relevance
Forensic medicine and criminology laboratories require a more specialized construction approach than standard public buildings.
The facility includes laboratory areas, evidence storage, examination rooms, classrooms and administrative offices, each with specific functional and operational requirements. These spaces require controlled circulation, durable finishes, safety standards, technical coordination and long-term reliability for institutional use.
EACOM’s participation in this project demonstrates experience in specialized public-sector facilities where construction execution must support technical functionality, operational control and institutional performance.
Execution Approach
EACOM’s execution approach focused on coordinated subcontracted delivery in alignment with the main contractor and the functional requirements of the facility.
The project required careful coordination within a specialized institutional environment, supporting the delivery of spaces intended for forensic investigation, evidence handling, examination, teaching and administrative operations.
Project Impact
The completed laboratory strengthens forensic medicine and criminology infrastructure in Skopje by providing specialized facilities for investigation, examination, evidence handling, teaching and administrative work.
As a reference, the project strengthens EACOM’s portfolio of specialized institutional and laboratory facilities, particularly projects involving international financing and high technical requirements.
